A Family Food-Stand

April 24, 2010

When I first moved to Beijing in February 2009 I lived in a housing community that was about forty minutes outside of the downtown area.  Way outside the fourth ring-road.  Thanks to the 2008 Olympics the city built new trains that provided access to places not normally accessible prior to its construction.  The community I lived in deserves a post in and of itself, but for now here is a quick-film of the food-stand that I went to almost every morning for over one-month.

餃子. jiǎo zi. dumpling

羹. gēng. soup
